What Is Deliverance?
Deliverance is the ministry of setting people free from demonic influence, oppression, or bondage. It is for the severely afflicted and every believer who desires complete freedom in Christ. Jesus called it “the children’s bread” (Matthew 15:26), and He demonstrated it throughout His ministry, casting out demons and healing the oppressed (Acts 10:38).
Can a Christian Have a Demon?
Yes — while a believer cannot be “owned” by a demon, they can still experience oppression. Demons attack areas of unhealed trauma, unrepentant sin, or generational bondage. As Derek Prince writes, “Deliverance is not for sinners, it’s for the saints.”
Signs You May Need Deliverance
According to Scripture and ministry experience, some signs of spiritual oppression may include:
- Intrusive thoughts, fear, or torment
- Nightmares or sleep paralysis
- Repeated cycles of addiction or immorality
- Chronic depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts
- Strongholds of bitterness, rejection, or unforgiveness
- Violent outbursts, compulsive behavior

Steps to Deliverance
Deliverance is both a divine encounter and a spiritual process. Here’s a biblical path to freedom:
- Recognize demonic influence or strongholds
- Repent of all known sin and renounce past agreements with darkness.
- Release forgiveness to all who’ve wounded you — and to yourself.
- Renounce all evil spirits, oaths, curses, and soul ties.
- Receive freedom in the name of Jesus.
- Resist the devil daily through worship, Word, and prayer.
- Renew your mind and walk in your new identity in Chris.

“Father, in the name of Jesus, I renounce every agreement I have made with darkness. I repent for every sin, every occult act, every sexual soul tie, every word curse, every inner vow, and every generational curse. I break these legal rights and close every door to the enemy. I speak the blood of Jesus over my body, soul, and spirit. I command every unclean spirit to leave now in Jesus’ name. I receive Your freedom. Amen.”

What Is a Curse?
A curse is a supernatural force or judgment that brings destruction, delay, or bondage. Curses can affect a person’s:
- health
- finances
- relationships
- mind
- or spiritual growth.
They are often invisible chains, passed down through generations or spoken by others — even by ourselves — but their effects can be very real and devastating.
“The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the

How Do Curses Enter?
According to Scripture and deliverance ministers like Derek Prince, Don Dickerman, and Isaiah Saldivar, Vlad Savchuk, curses can enter through:
1. Generational Sin
“…visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth
generation.”
—Exodus 20:5
Unrepentant sin in your family line (idolatry, abuse, witchcraft, Freemasonry, etc.) can pass down spiritual consequences.
2. Self-Imposed Curses
Words we speak over ourselves, such as “I’m always sick,” “I’ll never succeed,” or “I’m cursed,” open the door to the enemy.
3. Word Curses by Others
“By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Words spoken by parents, teachers, authority figures, or even witches and warlocks can function as curses if they are received.
4. Occult Involvement
Participating in witchcraft, astrology, Ouija boards, séances, yoga (as religious practice), or Eastern meditations creates legal rights for curses to enter.
5. Unforgiveness and Bitterness
Bitterness binds us. Unforgiveness delivers us to torment (Matthew 18:34-35). Curses operate freely where unforgiveness remains.
6. Breaking God’s Commands
“Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law.”

Rebellion, sexual sin, stealing, abortion, and shedding innocent blood can all activate spiritual consequences.
Symptoms of a Curse
Here are some signs that a curse may be operating in your life or family:
- Chronic illness with no medical explanation
- Financial breakdown and poverty despite effort
- Constant relationship breakdowns or family division
- Repeated accidents or misfortunes
- Mental confusion, torment, depression, or suicidal thoughts
- Barrenness, miscarriages, or generational infertility
- Premature deaths in the family line
- Compulsive sins that feel “uncontrollable”
- Blocked spiritual growth and prayer resistance

Steps to Break a Curse
1. Repent
Acknowledge and turn away from any personal or ancestral sin.
2. Renounce
Verbally renounce every curse, word, vow, and demonic agreement made.
3. Forgive
Release those who hurt you. Unforgiveness keeps curses in place.
4. Break
Declare the curse broken by the authority of Jesus Christ.
5. Replace
Fill your life with God’s truth, blessing, worship, and new habits.
6. Remain
Abide in God’s Word and Spirit so nothing returns (Matthew 12:44-45).

“In the name of Jesus Christ, I repent for all personal and generational sins that opened doors to curses. I renounce every curse spoken over me by others, my ancestors, or myself. I cancel the effects of every negative word, vow, ritual, or demonic assignment sent against me. I forgive those who cursed me and release them into God’s hands. I declare that through the blood of Jesus, I am redeemed from the curse of the law, and I walk in freedom, healing, and blessing. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Inner Healing: Healing the Soul After Deliverance
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Deliverance casts out demons. Inner healing heals the wounds they entered through.
Many believers receive freedom from demonic oppression, yet still struggle with anxiety, shame, emotional triggers, or painful memories. It is because inner trauma and emotional wounds remain unhealed.
According to Isaiah 61:1, Jesus came to do both:
- “proclaim liberty to the captives” (deliverance)
- and “bind up the brokenhearted” (inner healing)
Without inner healing, the soul may remain fractured — creating an open door for spiritual attacks to return.
How trauma impacts the soul:
- Childhood abuse or neglect
- Sexual trauma or shame
- Betrayal, rejection, or abandonment
- Chronic criticism, bullying, or spiritual abuse
- Emotional suppression or perfectionism
These leave behind soul wounds that must be healed through the power of the Holy Spirit, prayer, and biblical truth.
What Happens in Inner Healing?
Inner healing is not therapy — it’s a Spirit-led encounter where Jesus enters the wound and brings truth, love, and wholeness.

During a session, you may feel sadness, anger, or anxiety rise. That’s part of the healing. Like draining an infected wound, those emotions must come out to allow proper healing to begin.
Soul Ties: Emotional and Spiritual Bondage Through Ungodly Connections

A soul tie is a deep spiritual connection formed between two people — often created through intimacy, trauma, authority, or shared experiences.
There are healthy soul ties (godly marriages, parent-child, spiritual mentorship) and ungodly soul ties (formed through sin, abuse, or manipulation).
Ungodly soul ties can:
- Create obsessive thoughts or emotional entanglement
- Transfer demonic oppression from one person to another.
- Cause recurring dreams or spiritual attacks
- Prevent future godly relationships from flourishing.
- Reproduce toxic patterns in your emotions or behavior.s
Breaking Soul Ties
Steps to break ungodly soul ties:
- Repent for any sin or emotional dependency that formed the tie
- Renounce — the soul tie out loud: “I break every soul tie with [name] in Jesus’ name.”
- Forgive the person, even if they hurt or abused you.
- Deliverance — command every demonic spirit connected through the tie to leave
- Restore — invite the Holy Spirit to heal your emotions and reclaim lost pieces of your soul.
Signs you may have ungodly soul ties:
- Can’t stop thinking about a person (even years later)
- Feel guilt, shame, or panic after sexual activity.
- Feel drained or manipulated in certain relationships.
- Experience spiritual warfare tied to a specific person or past.

Spirit Spouses: A Hidden Cause of Night Terrors, Infertility & Marital Struggles

Spirit spouses (also called incubus/succubus) are demonic entities that form spiritual marriages through sexual sin, abuse, or generational covenants. They often appear in dreams as sexual partners, spouses, or seductive figures.
Common symptoms:
- Sexual dreams / wet dreams
- Sleep paralysis or spiritual “rape”
- Infertility or reproductive disorders
- Unexplainable fear or shame surrounding sex
- Sexual lethargy or repulsion toward spouse
- Frequent relationship breakups or blocked marriages
In many cultures, spirit spouses are known by different names — but they always work through seduction, counterfeit intimacy, and spiritual covenant.
How to Break a Spirit Spouse Covenant
7 Steps to Freedom (based on Isaiah 28:18 and James 4:7):
- Recognize that it is a demonic covenant
- Repent — for any sexual sin, trauma, or ancestral doors.
- Renounce — every spiritual covenant and demonic right
- Forgive anyone who violated you or contributed to your bondage.
- Break Soul Ties — to any sexual or emotional partner
- Cast Out — the demon through prayer and spiritual warfare
- Restore — your purity, identity, and relationships through the Holy Spirit.
